Immigrant sentenced for trafficking fentanyl from Mexico to southern Indiana

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — An immigrant lacking permanent legal status was recently sentenced for trafficking drugs from Mexico to southern Indiana.

Javier Moreno-Garibaldi, 38, of Mexico was sentenced to 5 and a half years in federal prison followed by two years of supervised released after he pleaded guilty to distributing over 400 grams of fentanyl.
