2 suspects in Carriage House East double fatal shooting labeled as violent felons

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Two Indianapolis men on Thursday were charged with the murders of two men on Saturday morning at an apartment complex on the city’s northeast side, court documents show.

Kenneth Lyles, 31, and Johnny Talley Jr., 27, were found shot dead about 9 a.m. Saturday at the Carriage House East Apartments, just northeast of the intersection of East 42nd Street and North Mitthoefer Road. A woman, who was identified only by initials in the court documents, also injured in the shooting.

Marquis Craig, 33, and Zay McDaniels, 27, have been each charged with two counts of murder, a count of attempted murder, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon. Craig also faces a low-level felony charge of resisting law enforcement…
