A jury found 43-year-old Darius Butts guilty of murder in a case that stems back to 2022. He shot a man in the 9900 block of East 38th Street, near North Mitthefer Road.
Police officers found 32-year-old Desmond Banks lying on the ground beside his Chevrolet Camaro. He was shot multiple times, and medics pronounced him dead at the scene. Our condolences go to his family and friends.
