ISP trooper saves teen girl choking on lemon shakeup at Indiana State Fair

INDIANAPOLIS — While the 2025 Indiana State Fair may be in the past, some are still remembering the heroic actions of an Indiana State Police trooper who saved a choking teenager.

On Saturday, Aug. 16, Trooper Vincent Scott saw a 14-year-old girl take a drink of her lemon shakeup. Shortly after, he saw her begin to struggle and grab her throat.

Scott immediately went to assist and used the Heimlich maneuver, ISP said in a release. After three thrusts, an object was dislodged in the teen’s throat and she was immediately able to breathe…
