Indiana Man Found Guilty of Killing Wife in Cemetery Car Park, Told Family He “Wasn’t Thinking Right”

FORRESTVILLE, Ind. – An Indiana man was found guilty last week of murdering his wife inside a car at a cemetery parking lot, later giving a three-word excuse to grieving relatives: “Wasn’t thinking right.”

According to investigators, Jeremy Hinson, 49, shot and killed his wife, 47-year-old Michela Hinson, inside his SUV at Forrestville Cemetery on June 26, 2024.

Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at the cemetery. Officers found two people inside — Hinson and his wife — both initially unresponsive.
