WESTFIELD, Ind. — The Westfield Police Department introduced its newest officer Thursday.
The department posted a photo on Facebook of K-9 Valkyrie, also called “Kiri,” a 15-month-old Belgian Malinois that recently joined the force.
Kiri is trained and certified in drug detection, tracking and apprehension, the department said. She is partnered with Ofc. Robins, who completed a month-long handler course with the K-9 before she officially joined the police department…
