Over the recent holiday weekend, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) and Indiana State Police (ISP) teams devoted their energy to clamping down on reckless driving and the increasingly problematic phenomenon of street takeovers across the city. In a concerted effort to mitigate these dangerous occurrences, the two law enforcement agencies worked in unison to enforce safety on the streets of Indianapolis.
IMPD News reported on the results of these efforts, which led to 8 arrests and 22 traffic citations. In addition to citing drivers, 6 vehicles were towed, and authorities seized 3 illegally possessed firearms, one of which was confirmed stolen. Moreover, a machine gun conversion device was also recovered by law enforcement officials.
