IMPD arrests man for July shooting on city’s northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives arrested a 28-year-old man for his alleged role in a July shooting.

On July 3, at 9:19 a.m., IMPD North District officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Meadows Lane on a report of a person shot. Officers arrived and found a man who said he had been in an altercation with another man who pulled a gun on him. The victim is believed to have suffered a graze wound during this incident. The victim told officers he was in fear for his life and that he fired his own gun back at the suspect when the suspect fired shots at him.

The IMPD Special Weapons and Tactics Team came to the scene to search the apartment complex for the suspect and any potential persons suffering injuries from the shooting incident. No additional victims were located…
