INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indianapolis police sergeant jumped into action and made a quick arrest after a Monday night assault that left a man in critical condition.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says a North District sergeant was on patrol in the area of East 16th and Meridian streets on Monday night when he saw a man “standing over and punching” another man who was on the ground.
“The sergeant quickly intervened and gave chase to the suspect, who had started running away. Eventually, he stopped and was taken into custody,” IMPD said in a release Tuesday…
