Man arrested after making shooting threats to Hancock Regional Hospital

Man arrested for hospital shooting threat in Hancock County, Indiana

GREENFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — A 40-year-old man has been arrested after making shooting threats to Hancock Regional Hospital Thursday.

At 10:55 a.m. Thursday, officers with the Greenfield Police Department were called to Hancock Regional Hospital on a report of threats involving a firearm to employees and staff within the hospital.

The threats were provided to the hospital electronically by a person who was not on site. Officers were quickly able to identify the suspect and confirm that he was not on the hospital campus at the time of the threat nor after the threat. Officers remained on site as investigators were able to confirm that the suspect was at his residence in Hancock County. Officers obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence, and with the assistance of the Hancock County Joint Tactical Team, the suspect was taken into custody without incident…
