LEBANON —Boone County Prosecutor Kent Eastwood announced that Jeffrey L. Alexander, 52, of Zionsville, has been sentenced to 40 years in the Indiana Department of Correction following his conviction for two counts of child molesting (level 1 and level 4 felony) and one count of child solicitation (a level 5 felony). Alexander received 30 years for child molesting and child solicitation and an additional 10-year enhancement as a repeat sexual offender at his sentencing hearing Sept. 9 in Boone County Superior Court II.
The conviction followed a three-day jury trial in Boone Superior Court, which concluded on July 24. Alexander was found guilty of two counts of child molesting and one count of child solicitation. The repeat sexual offender enhancement was applied due to a 1993 conviction in Montgomery County for child molesting.
