HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — Judging by the smiles and stories shared on shore, the late-summer edition of the White River Cleanup appeared to be a smashing success.
“I’ve been in this industry a long time, and this is the one event where we get to get people out on the river, in the water, and make a direct impact every year on our water quality,” said Carmel Stormwater Administrator John Thomas.
His team supported two busloads of volunteers who launched into the water at the White River Canoe Company in Noblesville for a three-hour journey down to Connor Prairie. Several groups from Carmel, Noblesville, and Hamilton County work together to organize the cleanups at least twice each year…
