The Fishers Police Department recently took to the streets for a traffic blitz, in what could be seen as a proactive approach towards road safety in the town of Fishers. The operation took place along 116th Street, stretching from I-69 to Eller Road, and spanned a mere 90 minutes. In that time, police made 27 traffic stops, with the most egregious violator clocking in at 21 miles per hour over the speed limit.
The short enforcement blitz was part of an ongoing effort to promote safer streets within the community, not just through mandatory compliance, but also via engagement with the public.
