Docs: Lawrence gas station stabbing leads to attempted murder arrest

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man was taken into custody after a reported stabbing at a Lawrence gas station left a 69-year-old man in critical condition.

According to court documents, 41-year-old Courtney Boose was arrested on the following preliminary charges:

  • Attempted murder
  • Aggravated battery
  • Battery resulting in serious bodily injury
  • Possession of a narcotic
  • Attempted battery on a police officer
  • Resisting law enforcement

At around 11:56 p.m. on Friday, officers with the Lawrence Police Department were dispatched to a gas station in the 4200 block of N. Post Road on reports of a stabbing.

Officers eventually located a victim at the front of the gas station, identified as a 69-year-old. A family member at the scene provided law enforcement with a description of the suspect.

The court documents said that Boose matched the description of the suspect provided by the family member. The family member then confirmed it was Boose after he was located at the gas station.
