INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — A 20-year-old man is facing murder charges after police say he shot his teenage girlfriend in the head in front of her young daughter and then tried to cover it up by claiming she killed herself.
The suspect, Tyairz Glover, allegedly confessed in a text message to his mother, writing: “He shot her (in) the head,” before police arrested him on September 26 at the Amber Woods apartments near 38th and Mitthoefer.
Victim Identified as 19-Year-Old LaNya Anderson
The victim was identified as LaNya Anderson, a 19-year-old mother. Authorities say the fatal shooting happened after an argument early Friday morning inside her apartment.
