Northwest Indy skating rink pulls its application for alcohol permit after pushback from community, police

INDIANAPOLIS — A well-known northwest Indianapolis skating rink has withdrawn its request to seek a permit to serve alcohol.

A spokesperson for a law firm confirmed Skateland’s permit withdrawal to 13News, sharing the following statement:

“After thoughtful consideration of the discussion and concerns voiced at the meeting last Friday, Skateland has decided to withdraw its application for the beer and wine permit. James (copied) met with community leaders yesterday and let them know the same.
