Prepared to feed Hoosiers amid shutdown
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The ongoing government shutdown could soon impact how several Hoosier families put food on the table.
The team at Midwest Food Bank of Indiana told WISH-TV they’re prepared. They know the demand could climb if benefits stop on Nov. 1, and they have a plan in place to make sure no family goes without benefits.
Midwest Food Bank supplies their food to local food panties, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, churches, and other non-profit organizations. The food bank has a plan in place for the community as the need increases and the holidays approach…
