Missing Indianapolis Zoo tortoises found in Pendleton park
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A pair of tortoises taken more than two weeks ago from the Indianapolis Zoo have been found Tuesday afternoon a county away in a park in the Madison County town of Pendleton.
A news release from Indiana State Police said visitors to Falls Park called Pendleton police after they found a cardboard box. A paper plate atop the box referenced the zoo. Inside, the visitors found the tortoises.
