INDIANAPOLIS — Police have arrested two people who allegedly assaulted a man and woman with a machete following a disturbance that resulted in shots being fired on Indy’s east side.
Aggravated assault detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested 20-year-old Oscar Goyes and 18-year-old Nataija Sledge following an investigation into a disturbance that left Sledge and two others injured.
Officers responded to the 1700 block of Portage Terrace on Oct. 18 to investigate a possible person shot run. IMPD initially reported that officers arrived on the scene and found Sledge suffering from a graze wound to her shoulder and a second wound on her side…
