INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man has been convicted after he kidnapped his wife during an incident in September 2021.
According to a news release from the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, Ivy Sisson was charged with seven felonies, including:
- One count of kidnapping while armed with a deadly weapon, a Level 3 felony
- One count of criminal confinement while armed with a deadly weapon, a Level 3 felony
- One count of kidnapping where committed by using a vehicle, a Level 5 felony
- One count of criminal confinement with bodily injury, a Level 5 felony
- One count of domestic battery by means of a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony
- Two counts of intimidation, each a Level 5 felony
Sisson was convicted of all seven charges after an hour of deliberation, according to the release.
On Sept. 16, 2021, a security guard at a healthcare facility in the 8800 block of S. Meridian Street noticed a suspicious person outside of the building, the release said.
