An Indianapolis man will spend more than six decades in prison for a fatal shooting that occurred on Thanksgiving Day in 2023.
Authorities say Ousman Gasama was discovered dead, “sitting upright” on the front stoop of a residence in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office announced that investigators quickly identified and apprehended Efrem Edmondson, who was later convicted of murder in September 2025.
Police officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene on November 23, 2023, and found Gasama deceased from gunshot wounds.
