Murder suspect wanted in Hamilton County shot during arrest on Indy’s northeast side

On Thursday, Nov. 6 at approximately 1 p.m., officers with the Fishers Police Department served an arrest warrant on Caleb Weis 26, Indianapolis, for five felony charges related to the shooting death of Cameron Doaks, 24.

Weis is the suspect in the fatal shooting that occurred on March 16, 2024, in the 10000 block of Apple Blossom Circle. When officers arrived on that date, they found Doaks with multiple gunshot wounds. Doaks was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.

In the time since the shooting, Fishers police detectives gathered every piece of evidence, interviewed witnesses, reviewed camera footage from neighboring houses, and completed forensic analyses…
