Most schools in Indiana to close at least one more day in November

INDIANA — Across the Hoosier State, school districts are preparing for the annual Thanksgiving pause — a familiar rhythm for many families but one that still carries significance for students, staff, and communities alike. In particular, several districts in Indiana have confirmed that there will be no school during the week of Thanksgiving.

In Indianapolis Public Schools, for example, the calendar shows that Wednesday, November 26 through Friday, November 28 are marked as full-day “Thanksgiving Break — No School.” Similarly, the Elkhart Community Schools district lists Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28 (and in some cases Wednesday) as part of their Thanksgiving recess.

The Tippecanoe School Corporation calendar likewise lists Thursday and Friday of that week as “Thanksgiving Break – No School”…
