West Indianapolis Wingstop worker sentenced for shooting delivery driver in food order dispute

INDIANAPOLIS — A former Wingstop employee has been sentenced after he accepted a plea deal for shooting a delivery driver in February on the west side of Indianapolis.

Ezra Watkins pleaded guilty to aggravated battery, and in exchange, prosecutors dropped a charge of battery by means of a deadly weapon.

A judge sentenced Watkins to seven years, including four years in prison, one year in community corrections and two years of probation…
