Pacers fan found guilty for stabbing Knicks fan at Carmel bar

A Pacers fan was found guilty Dec. 9 for stabbing a Knicks fan after watching a playoff game between the two teams at a Carmel bar.

A Hamilton County jury found Westfield resident Jarrett Funke guilty of battery by means of a deadly weapon, battery resulting in serious bodily injury and criminal recklessness. He was found not guilty of battery by means of a deadly weapon.

The incident occurred May 23 on the back patio at Danny Boy Beer Works in Carmel’s Village of WestClay. The victim, David Leach of Noblesville, suffered a broken rib and tear in his lungs…
