Volunteers pack winter survival kits for homeless people in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — More than 25 volunteers helped pack winter survival kits with the organization Hope Packages at the Indianapolis Liberation Center near Fountain Square on Thursday evening.

“This winter is going to be very bitter in some way especially this weekend,” said Rissa Wilson, an organizer at Indy Liberation Center. “So, it’s very, very, very important for them to have the essentials: Socks, gloves, hats, and handwarmers. We’re going to throw in some hygiene products as well.”
