INDIANAPOLIS — Many children love playing with Legos. They create and assemble those tiny colored blocks into countless objects. For kids in the hospital like Calem, Legos are a fun distraction.
“He really loves putting those together,” Steven Graves said. “Legos have always done that for him, bring him some calm and comfort. I think a lot of his focus is around either Star Wars or Harry Potter.”
As a longtime employee of Walmart, Steven saw pallets of unused, returned Legos in the company’s return center, so he came up with an idea: Maybe Walmart could give those Legos to hospitals across the country…
