INDIANAPOLIS — A total of seven homes were damaged after a heavy fire broke out on the southeast side of Indianapolis.
According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, around 10:46 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 7400 block of Deerberg Drive on reports of a heavy fire with smoke visible for miles.
The first firefighters arrived at 10:50 a.m. They found a two-story house under construction, fully engulfed in flames. The two houses next door also had significant fire damage. The four homes across the street also suffered significant damage from radiant heat.
It took nearly 45 minutes for firefighters to get the fire under control…
