INDIANA — A Fort Wayne woman and several of her friends are wanted in connection with a theft scheme that allegedly stole nearly $3,000 worth of alcohol from a local liquor store.
According to court documents, Courtney Clawson, 34, has been charged with corrupt business influence, a Level 5 felony, and a warrant was issued for her arrest on Wednesday. The investigation stems from incidents that occurred between September 2025 and November 2025 while Clawson was working at the Cap n’ Cork on Coliseum Boulevard.
Investigators allege Clawson participated in a scheme in which she scanned small 1.7-ounce “airplane-size” bottles of liquor while bagging larger, high-end bottles for friends who visited the store. According to police, Clawson would retrieve premium bottles from behind the counter, simulate scanning them without registering the items, and place the unpaid liquor into bags.
