INDIANAPOLIS — Protesters lined 86th Street near the Monon Trail on Saturday afternoon with signs against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and in support of Renee Good, the woman who was shot and killed by a federal ICE officer in Minnesota on Wednesday.

Tom Sherer with Hoosiers for Constitutional Democracy has been hosting sign-waving events on Saturdays for months now, but none have drawn as many people as Saturday’s did.
“This is suddenly the explosion,” Sherer said. “We’ve had some with five to 10 (people) on a Saturday morning, and we had hundreds today.”
Sherer believes so many people showed up because they were outraged over “such a heinous crime committed against a fellow citizen.”
