Valparaiso, Indiana – A high-impact winter storm is increasingly likely to affect northwestern Indiana from Wednesday, Jan. 14, through Friday, Jan. 17, bringing a strong risk of heavy snow, lake-effect enhancement, and dangerous travel conditions across the region.
According to the National Weather Service Weather Prediction Center, northwestern Indiana currently carries a greater than 60 percent probability for severe winter weather impacts, placing it among the highest-risk areas in the Midwest.
