INDIANAPOLIS — Parts of I-465 and I-70 at the east side interchange were closed on Tuesday due to multiple crashes and icy conditions.
According to officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation, the left three lanes of I-465 southbound were closed near the 44-mile marker due to a crash involving a state trooper.
The crash involving the state trooper was reported at around 9:56 a.m. on Tuesday. A little over an hour later, at 11:13 a.m., Indiana State Police also closed a portion of I-70 westbound near the interchange due to “multiple crashes and ice.” All traffic was diverted onto I-465.
By 12:30 p.m., both 465 and I-70 were reopened as police continue to urge motorists to drive with caution…
