LAGRANGE, Ind. — The Indiana State Police is looking for information from the public regarding the death of an Amish teenager in 1969.
According to a news release, in March of 1969, newspaper articles described an incident in which the teen was killed by a large rock that was thrown from a passing vehicle, into a horse-drawn buggy operated by the teen and his nephew.
Mervin Lehman and his nephew were in a buggy on LaGrange County Road 300 West, near County Road 350 South, around midnight. When the rock hit Lehman, they hurried home, police say. A neighbor took the injured teen to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead…
