Indianapolis man convicted, sentenced for role in 2024 west side murder

INDIANAPOLIS — One of the two men charged in the June 2024 killing of a 21-year-old on the west side of Indianapolis has been convicted and sentenced.

On Feb. 5, 2026, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office announced it had secured a murder conviction and sentenced Kyis Glasper to 45 years in the Indiana Department of Correction in connection with the shooting death of Kiyon James William Davidson on June 8, 2024.

Glasper was 19-years-old at the time of the shooting. Dewan Jackson, who was also 19 at the time of the shooting, has also been charged in connection with the incident, but his case remains pending…
