Mississippi teen arrested for conspiring to shoot up Indiana high school

MORRISTOWN, Ind. — A second teenager has been arrested in connection with a Columbine-inspired plot to shoot up a rural Indiana high school.

In early January, Alexis Pickett, 17, of Rush County was charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and intimidation. Pickett is accused of plotting a school shooting at Morristown Jr./Sr. High School, which she allegedly planned to enact on May 25, 2026.

But police said Pickett didn’t plan on committing the mass killing all on her own…
