Ind. Governor, Attorney General focusing on crackdown of foreign-born truck drivers

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WFIE) – Governor Mike Braun is working with the state’s Attorney General Todd Rokita to crack down on foreign-born truck drivers.

Gov. Braun says there’s been an “upsurge of illegal aliens with Commercial Drivers’ Licenses (CDLs) driving large commercial trucks on Hoosier roads and highways.”

Senator Michael Crider (R-Greenfield, Ind.) is offering the Senate an amendment to House Bill 1200. Recent cases of foreign-born drivers who are driving commercial vehicles involved in fatal crashes has brought attention to this issue.
