Marian University plans to turn former VA hospital into education hub

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A vacant, 22-acre property in Indianapolis that formerly housed a Veterans Administration hospital is being transformed into what’s being described as a cradle-to-career education hub, Marian University said in a news release issued Monday.

Known as The Grove at Cold Spring, the site of the former Larue Carter Hospital, 2601 Cold Spring Road, will serve students ranging from early childhood through “adult credentialing,” the release said. In Indiana, adult credentialing programs provide free or low-cost training, certifications, and high school equivalency diplomas to help workers gain skills for high-demand fields.
