Tornadoes have been reported over parts of northwest Indiana after a twister caused damage in Kankakee, Illinois.
The National Weather Service said a stovepipe tornado was spotted near the Kankakee Airport, moving toward Aroma Park, Illinois, and then to Momence. A tornado touchdown was also reported at the Kankakee County Fairgrounds.
Significant damage to homes and downed power lines were reported. A tornado warning is in effect for La Porte County, Indiana, until 9 p.m…
