Noblesville’s east side is getting a massive new Kroger Marketplace, and the grocery giant is wasting no time building up its roster. Hiring is officially underway for the larger-format store, with the company saying it needs hundreds of workers before doors open this summer along the booming 146th Street corridor.
Kroger is ramping up with a mix of open interviews and online applications to fill everything from entry-level clerk positions to department leadership roles. The grocer expects the new Marketplace to be a major employer in the area once it is fully staffed.
According to WISH-TV, the hiring team is looking to fill more than 250 positions and will hold its first round of open interviews on Saturday at the Fishers Kroger at East 116th Street and Cumberland Road from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The station reports that hourly clerks will start at $16.05 an hour, with many entry-level roles requiring no prior experience. At the same time, Kroger is also recruiting experienced candidates to lead key departments. In a statement cited by the outlet, company spokesperson Mike Goodwin called associates “the heart of our business” as the chain gears up for the new store.

Local planning coverage shows the new Marketplace is slated for the northeast corner of East 146th Street and Howe Road in Noblesville, a high-visibility site that developers and city officials have tagged for mixed-use retail and housing.
