INDIANAPOLIS — Long’s Bakery is asking for Hoosiers to sign a petition against the closure of the 16th Street Bridge.
“This isn’t just about a bridge — it’s about protecting local jobs, families, and the heart of our community,” said Long’s Bakery in a social post.
The Department of Public Works said the goal of the 16th Street over White River project is to “extend the life of the historic arch bridge and improve the aesthetics by addressing the spalling concrete in the arches, corbels, and bridge deck.”
