Kem Krest to shutter Carmel facility this summer

A supply chain management company in Carmel will close by Aug. 31, leaving 77 employees out of work.

Kem Krest filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification on March 10 with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development outlining its plans to shutter its facility at 1000 E. 116th St.

“Based on the projected outlook and our business priorities, the operation was not viable long term,” Sarah Barnhart, Kem Krest chief people and transformation officer, told Current. “After exploring every responsible option, we made the difficult decision to wind down operations at this site.”…
