INDIANAPOLIS — A large semi fire forced officials to close a portion of Interstate 465 on the southeast side of Indianapolis for several hours Sunday evening.
According to a notification from the Indiana Department of Transportation, I-465 eastbound was shut down at mile marker 50 around 6:15 p.m. INDOT’s notification suggested a semi fire triggered the closure.

Indiana State Police reported that they were the lead law enforcement agency that responded to the fire. Troopers closed the exit ramps from Emerson Avenue and Interstate 65 southbound to I-465 eastbound while fire crews worked at the scene…
