Speedway takes action on stalled hotel project
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The town of Speedway is taking steps to redevelop the stalled Wilshaw Hotel. The luxury hotel remained unfinished for years, sitting right across the street from Gate 1 of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Neighbors are looking forward to a change. They’ve had this view for years: metal frames sticking out of the foundation, walls with windows outlined.
Neighbors say its frustrating because visitors from around the world come to Indy 500 and see this as an unfinished construction that symbolizes an undeveloped town, and they’re tired of it…
