Family of 4 displaced after house fire on Indy’s south side

INDIANAPOLIS — A family of four has been displaced after a house fire on Indianapolis’ south side Saturday evening.

IFD said crews responded to the 3600 block of Lindbergh Drive, near South Sherman Drive and Interstate 465, around 8:30 p.m. April 11.

A 19-year-old told fire investigators he was working on the lawn mower, inside the garage and gas spilled onto the floor. He said he and his mother put kitty litter on it to absorb it and he continued working on the mower…
