Home on south side of Indianapolis catches fire after being struck by motorist

INDIANAPOLIS — A home on the south side of Indianapolis caught fire after a motorist struck it on Saturday night.

Public emergency reporting systems indicate the Indianapolis Fire Department was called to the 6300 block of Monteo Lane — which is located off of West Banta Road — around 7:19 p.m. to assist a motorist who became entrapped in their vehicle during a crash.

IFD indicated that, when its crews arrived at the scene, they determined the vehicle in question had been driven into a house. First responders also reported that the home the motorist had driven into was on fire when they made it to the area…
