‘Really a tragedy’: Owner of Indianapolis daycare destroyed in crash speaks out

INDIANAPOLIS — Poohbear’s House of Hugs is a dream come true for the owner, who asked FOX59/CBS4 not share her name. She started the business shortly after her son, 27-year-old Rodriquez “Pooh” Anderson, was found shot and killed in his car.

“He said ‘well mama, I want you to get you a daycare and get your license,’ and I said ‘OK, I’ll work on it,’” she said. “I worked on it and worked on it, but I didn’t get my license until after he got killed.”

Seven years of business came crashing down just after midnight on Saturday. A truck rammed into the east side business, tearing down walls and shattering memories.

The owner was inside working shortly before the crash. She left around midnight to get gas and came back to the destruction…
