INDIANAPOLIS (WXIN) – What was supposed to be army veteran Robert Gault’s last DoorDash delivery of the night became a fight for survival Thursday morning.
Gault says he was delivering a White Castle order in Indianapolis’ north side when would-be carjackers shot him in the head — and he lived to tell what happened. Newly home from the hospital, Gault told Nexstar’s WXIN he feels like he “cheated death.”
“Served in Iraq — not a scratch, no problems,” Gault joked. “Come back and get shot in the head.”…
