Raleigh police investigate bomb threat at substation; no device found in vehicle

An investigation was prompted after a man made a bomb threat at a Raleigh police substation Wednesday morning.

Officers responded around 10:38 a.m. to a call about a suspicious person in the 5200 block of Greens Dairy Road. During the response, a man came to the police station and, while being questioned by detectives, threatened that a pipe bomb was inside his vehicle in the station parking lot.

Authorities confirmed with ABC11 that no hazardous devices were found in or around the person’s vehicle…
