Over the summer, the pace of campus life slows as thousands of students return home or pursue opportunities around the country and the world. Some, however, remain in Durham, exploring Duke-sponsored programs, taking summer courses or relying on student housing.
Some of the most popular opportunities for students on campus are the Plus programs, which are considered “immersive, experiential learning opportunities” that “provide students with hands-on experiences that emphasize research, creative problem-solving and interdisciplinary collaboration.” There are nine Plus programs in total, which span from computer science and data to arts and history.
