Wake County kitchen remodeling owner accused of stealing more than $90K in sales taxes: NCDOR

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WNCN) — The owner of a kitchen remodeling company in Wake County was arrested Monday on felony tax charges, the North Carolina Department of Revenue said.

According to the NCDOR, 54-year-old Sean McKenzie of Wake Forest is accused of helping his business, Bull Restoration Inc., embezzle, misapply, and convert $90,682 in North Carolina sales taxes to its own use from May 1, 2017, to July 31, 2021.
